Hindu Samajotsava Report – 8 February 2026

Hindu Samajotsava was held at Vivekananda Ground, Bhupasandra, near Bhupasandra Bus Stand, Bengaluru on 8th February 2026. The program began with a grand procession at 5:30 p.m., during which Swamiji was ceremonially welcomed with Purna-Kumbha and led to the venue in a devotional procession.
The cultural program included classical Bharatanatyam performances and the singing of patriotic and devotional songs by children. Thereafter, Swamiji and the chief guest were invited to the dais. The chief guest, Srimati Shilpa Shivaprakash, spoke on the importance of Hindu unity, preservation of Indian culture, and imparting Hindu values to children. She also highlighted the role of technology in achieving self-reliance for Bharat.
Swami Shivaprakashananda ji delivered the keynote address, emphasizing social harmony and unity within Hindu society. He spoke about preserving Hindu traditions and family culture, especially the values of joint family life and a dharma-oriented way of living. Swamiji also explained environmental protection from the standpoint of Sanātana Dharma, stating that one should think not as a consumer but as a contributor to nature and society.
He concluded by stressing the importance of serving society and the nation, preserving Hindu values, protecting our languages and culture, and transmitting Bharatiya heritage to future generations. Swamiji reminded that material progress without dharma is meaningless and that Hindu society is fundamentally dharma-based, unlike purely materialistic societies.
Around 400 people attended the program. The event concluded at 8:00 p.m. with the distribution of certificates and awards to students who participated in cultural programs, followed by the honoring of Swamiji and the chief guest. The gathering ended with the collective chanting of Vande Mataram.
