Discourse – 2.        Dt.- 14.6.2026
———————         ———————–
Vibhu Foundation is conducting a series of Self-improvement Discourses (in Kannada and English) in Vidyaranyapura for the benefit of all in today’s strife-ridden life. Modern life is full of stress due to various types of pressures to be “successful”. As a result people are suffering with confusion, anxiety, fear, insecurity etc. They can lead a well-balanced happier life if they are made familiar with the sublime wisdom in the Shastras which tells us that “Spiritual wisdom is the greatest success!” It can be obtained by approaching a Guru and seeking his guidance!

On Sunday the 14th of June 2026, a talk in English titled “Meaning of Success” was held from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Manjunatheshwara Temple in Vidyaranyapura. Approximately 40 – 45 people attended the program.

Swamiji was traditionally received by a small congregation with Poorna Kumbha. Thereafter he was honoured with a garland and introduced to the gathering.

Swamiji came straight to the question “What is Success?” Through anecdotes he made the people think whether material accomplishment should be termed as “Success” as it does not give true happiness! Using stories from the Upanishads/Puranas he brought out the point that success lies in being always happy and “True happiness” lies within us – not in the matters connected with the physical body or in the outside world!!! Our Rishis gave us the true meaning of “success”!

Life is a continuum. Our existence transcends the body which changes from one life to another. The next life depends upon what we do in this life! Therefore we must think beyond the visible existence and look within ourselves – at the “Atma” – to find permanent  happiness. That is true success!

Success is called “Siddhi”. Hence “Atma Siddhi” is the goal and “Adhyatma Vidya” alone can take us there giving true happiness or success!

With this the discourse concluded. People showed reverence to the Guru and sought his blessings.

The gathering dispersed after collecting Prasada.
